Registration requires review and approval by the APHA.
Guide Classes
Annual dues by license class
Registered Guide, Contracting ($350/yr)
Registered guides operating their own contracting business.
Registered Guide, Non-Contracting ($200/yr)
Registered guides not currently contracting clients.
Assistant Guide Sustaining ($35/yr)
Licensed assistant guides. A lower-cost level with fewer member benefits: it does not include a listing in the online directory or the magazine, the full welcome packet, or the gear discount catalog.

What a guide membership includes
A professional guide membership carries all of the benefits below, whichever license class you fall into. The one exception is Assistant Guide Sustaining, a lower-cost level without the directory and magazine listings, the full welcome packet or the gear discount catalog. Not sure which class is yours? - Participation in regional Board of Game (BOG) and member-concern teleconferences and surveys

- Free guide listing on alaskaprohunter.org with direct link to your website
- Free guide listing in each issue of The Alaska Professional Hunter
- Use of the APHA logo on your website and literature
- Free "For Sale" and "Help Wanted" ads in the Guide Post
- Up to 2 hunter gallery photos per magazine issue
Savings & Coverage
- 1-year subscription to The Alaska Professional Hunter magazine
- 20% discount on magazine advertising (30% on consecutive ads)
- Access to SCI's Guide & Outfitter Insurance Program (savings up to 30%)
How to Apply
Applications are reviewed by the board
Professional membership requires review and approval by the APHA. Apply online by selecting your level and completing checkout, and your membership activates once approved. You can also download the paper application and mail it to the office.
