Guarding Alaska's hunting heritage since 1973

Since 1973, APHA has been a leading organization in Alaska guarding against the continual flow of regulatory restrictions on hunting and public land access attempted by anti-sport-hunting groups or government agencies.

Over five decades the association has provided full-time representation in Washington DC and Juneau, participated in the Alaska Board of Game process, initiated predator harvest fee programs, and established the Hunter Preservation Fund (2004), the most direct way for non-resident hunters to help preserve Alaska hunting opportunity.
