President
Cabot Pitts
Introduced to the outdoors at a young age, Cabot’s passion has always revolved around hunting and fishing. He worked in Alaska as a packer while attending Virginia Tech, then pursued an outfitting career full time. A registered guide, he runs Alaska Wild Wind Adventures with an exclusive concession on the Alaska Peninsula for brown bear and moose. Residing in Wasilla, Cabot hopes to help preserve the hunting and fishing tradition for future generations.

Sam Rohrer
Born and raised on Kodiak Island into a guiding family, Sam has been involved in all aspects of the business since his early teens. He received his Assistant Guide license at 18 in 1998 and his Registered Guide license at 21 in 2001. Sam resides in Kodiak with his wife Sarah and their three kids, operating a big game guiding, sport fishing and wildlife viewing operation on Kodiak.

Lyle Becker
Raised in central Ohio, Lyle grew up hunting, trapping, and dreaming of Alaska. After commercial fishing in Bristol Bay through college, he moved up permanently in 2006 and received his Registered Guide license in 2008. Lyle is a board member of the South Central Chapter of the Alaska Trappers Association and resides in Anchorage with his wife Alexandra.

Cash Joyce
Born and raised in Kasilof, Cash grew up on the Kenai River where his dad was one of the early river guides. From cured fish eggs and razor clam guiding he moved to the mountains, finding his niche and mentors in the hunting guide industry where he has been active for 25 years. He enjoys helping aspiring young guides find the same path.

Samuel T. Fejes Jr.
Born and raised in Alaska, Sam entered the guiding industry in 1978 as an assistant guide, received his registered guide license in 1981 and established Fejes Guide Service Ltd. the same year. A commercial pilot (land and sea, instrument rated) with an air taxi certificate and 100-ton Master Coast Guard license, Sam is active with SCI, DSC, the Conklin Foundation, Shikar Safari and the Kodiak Bear Trust Fund.

Paul Claus
Born in Anchorage in 1959, Paul grew up flying, climbing, skiing and hunting all over Alaska with his father, registered guide John Claus. Flying since age 16 and living on the Chitina River since 1978, Paul and his wife Donna built Ultima Thule Outfitters in what is now Wrangell-St. Elias National Park, raising three children under the shadow of the Wrangell Mountains.

Jay Stanford
Jay’s Alaskan heritage is as old as the Bristol Bay salmon run: summers on Lake Clark with his Yupik grandmother Bella, and set net sites in Naknek where he still fishes each summer. Grandson of Gov. Jay Hammond, he earned degrees in Business Management and Wildlife Biology at the University of Montana and his Registered Guide license in 2017, guiding at Ultima Thule and on Kodiak.

Rob Jones
Rob started in the guide industry with Sonny Hedlund in 1978 while working as a smokejumper. After years flying and fishing, he worked with Paul Claus at Ultima Thule for over a decade, then co-founded R&R Guide Service with Rod Schuh in 1992, a business that thrived for 16 years. Still going at it.

Tony Marchini
Born and raised in Alaska’s Copper River valley, Tony grew up hunting with his family and spending time in the woods. After years of wildland fire, he transitioned fully into the guiding industry. He now runs his family’s guiding business full time and has a strong passion for flying and Alaska’s backcountry.
