We are committed to defending, preserving and promoting Alaska’s professional guide industry against the many perils that face us on a daily basis, and have been doing so with the help of our conservation partners for over 50 years. We are the leading organization guarding nonresident hunting rights in Alaska and are dedicated to the conservation of Alaska’s wildlife resources.
APHA consists of your peers, and we need your participation to be as strong and effective as we possibly can.

What membership includes
Benefits vary by membership class. What follows is the full set that professional guide members receive. Other classes carry a subset: the directory listing, the Guide Post ads and the SCI insurance program are for licensed guide members. Membership options
Guided Membership
For master, registered, and assistant guides working in Alaska. Applications are reviewed and approved by the APHA.
HPF Membership
Booked a hunt with an APHA guide? Start here. The Hunter Preservation Fund is the $200 per-client fee your outfitter collects, and the most direct contribution any non-resident hunter can make toward keeping Alaska open to non-residents.
Additional Memberships
Not a guide, and not booked on a hunt? Associate, sustaining, business, corporate, and life memberships are for everyone else invested in Alaska’s hunting heritage.
