I’m looking for a great sheep guide, that might be looking for some new scenery, to join our family in 2024. We have the best crew in the business and a couple of spectacular Federal Concessions.

This opportunity does not come up very often, one of our long time guides is moving on to his own operation. Other guiding experience is helpful and we have opportunities for a full guide schedule on all species but sheep experience with no violations is mandatory. This is not an opening for someone that wants to become a sheep guide, you need to be one already. I have a couple great young guides coming up but the Alaska Outfitters Unlimited system takes at least three years of observing our guides before I allow someone to guide a sheep guide. I prefer at least five years of sheep guiding, great personality, good references. Safety and meat care are priorities 1a &1b. If you can’t pack out an animal on the bone and keep it really clean, don’t bother. Pay is competitive and this may lead to other guiding for moose (horses for packing) in the Wrangells and in our Kodiak Concession.
